Growing up in Dunedin I was inspired by artist Annie Baird and went on to study watercolour painting for 3 years at Teachers college.

To this day she’s still one if my favorite artists. An illustrator of children’s books and her A to Z large watercolour pieces adorn the Dunedin Children’s Library. On leaving Dunedin I purchased one of her large cityscape pieces which remains displayed proudly in my home today.

I am always aspiring to make my watercolour art look as effortless as hers.
